The Cat that Changed America

A Fundraiser for Native Animal Rescue

The Cat that Changed America is a new documentary film about the most famous mountain lion in America, named P22. P22 was discovered living in Griffith Park, right in the heart of Los Angeles near the Hollywood sign. Born in the Santa Monica Mountains, he miraculously crossed two of the busiest freeways in America, the 405 and the 101, before settling in Griffith Park. P22 is now trapped – hemmed in by freeways and urban sprawl – with little chance of ever finding a mate. Through the plight of P22, this film addresses solutions to two serious problems that wildlife face: the need for safe wildlife freeway crossings and the elimination of anticoagulent rodenticides.
