Joining together for a concert bill of some of the most iconic voices in southern music are Irma Thomas, The Blind Boys of Alabama and The Preservation Hall Legacy Quintet. Thomas—known as the “Soul Queen” of New Orleans—has long been Crescent City musical royalty. Since the 1960s she has been a seminal voice of R&B and gospel. Since the group’s beginnings in the 1930s, The Blind Boys of Alabama have won six Grammys and become one of the most acclaimed roots music groups in the world. The New York Times has described a live performance as “…part living history…” The roots of the Preservation Hall Legacy Quintet date back to 1961, when the legendary venue Preservation Hall first opened its doors in the French Quarter. The Quintet honors the traditional aspects of New Orleans jazz and the history of its namesake venue. Gold Circle: $60/Advance $70/Day of Show; General Admission: $40/Advance $50/Day of Show
