Beggar Kings
Thursday, December 29th- will be the “Revolver” album, live- the WAE’s most popular program, adding era singles such as “Rain”, and “Paperback Writer”.
1966’s “Revolver”was revolutionary in every way, from the Motown horns of “Got to get you into My Life”, the mystical “Tomorrow Never Knows” with sitar and tabla, to “Eleanor Rigby” with its string quartet .
The Beggar Kings, will open the night, performing the classic album “Beggars Banquet”, which featured hits “Sympathy For The Devil”, and “Street Fighting Man”
A raffle will be held at Intermission, benefiting Guitars, not Guns.
Special guests will include the Pleasure Point horns, the Millington strings,
and members of the Santa Cruz symphony.
