Since 1989, Rolling Stones fans began taking notice of Lisa Fischer when she took over the spotlight from Mick Jagger and owned the stage during their Gimme Shelter duet. The powerful chanteuse also gained notoriety as one of the featured performers in the Oscar and Grammy-winning 2013 documentary, Twenty Feet from Stardom. Her Grammy award-winning vocals have been featured with Luther Vandross, Tina Turner, Sting, and many other major artists. Fischer's performance at last year's Monterey Jazz Festival was ashow-stopping delight.
And now you can hear Fischer's electrifying voice upfront – where she belongs – belting out her own tunes, plus a few ethno/funk/R&B/prog-jazz-rock renditions of her favorite Stones songs as well.
